COC-01
Purpose and Scope
EFVD expects drivers to compete hard while maintaining respect for staff, judges, sponsors, media and other competitors. Strong driving does not excuse poor behavior.
| Applies to | Examples |
|---|---|
| EFVD Discord | Announcements, tickets, event channels, voice channels and staff communication. |
| Event servers | Practice windows, qualifying, battles, staging, in-game chat and live instructions. |
| Public platforms | Streams, YouTube, Instagram, comments, clips, public posts and sponsor-facing interactions. |
| Private EFVD-related contact | DMs, team chats or private messages connected to EFVD activity. |
This protects competition quality, keeps event operations clear and maintains a professional environment for drivers, partners and viewers.
COC-02
Core Conduct Standards
| EFVD expects | EFVD does not tolerate |
|---|---|
| Respect toward drivers, judges, tech staff, media and community staff. | Harassment, insults, threats, intimidation or targeted abuse. |
| Sportsmanship after wins, losses and judging calls. | Public drama, rage posting or attempts to pressure judges. |
| Composure during live competition. | Turning frustration into abuse, repeated insults, threats or harassment. |
| Professional communication. | Sponsor drama, defamation or attempts to damage EFVD publicly. |
| Reliability and preparation. | Repeated no-shows, late files or ignoring procedures. |
| Honest representation of EFVD decisions and evidence. | Impersonating staff, editing evidence deceptively or submitting false reports. |
| Competitive integrity. | Cheating, exploiting, unauthorized mods, input manipulation, macros, tampered files or using unapproved assists. |
| Positive community contribution. | Toxicity, manipulation, witch hunts or repeated negativity. |
COC-03
Communication Rules
Use the correct channel and keep communication useful, respectful and easy for staff to process.
| Rule | Expected behavior |
|---|---|
| Use official channels | Use the correct channel for questions, tickets, tech submissions and protests. |
| Use in-game chat for live issues | Drivers may use in-game chat, but live issues for staff during qualifying and battles should be handled there so staff can respond quickly. |
| Spotters and helpers | Spotters may attend briefing when allowed, but only the driver may communicate official protests or live driver issues to staff. |
| Do not spam staff | Do not repeatedly DM staff when a public process or ticket exists. |
| Disagree respectfully | You may disagree with a call, but must use respectful language and the correct process. |
| Keep private conversations private | Do not post private staff conversations publicly without permission. |
| Do not tag sponsors into disputes | Sponsors should not be used to pressure EFVD about operations, judging or staff decisions. |
COC-04
Harassment and Abuse Policy
Harassment and abuse can be handled by EFVD even when it happens outside the event server if it affects EFVD safety, staffing, sponsors or community trust.
| Behavior | Possible response |
|---|---|
| One-off poor tone | Reminder or warning. |
| Repeated insults or personal attacks | Written warning, probation or event removal. |
| Threats, doxxing or harassment campaign | Suspension or blacklist review. |
| Discriminatory or hateful content | Removal and disciplinary review. |
| Retaliation after a report | Disciplinary review, suspension or event removal. |
| Sponsor harassment or public attack campaign | Suspension, blacklist review or application refusal. |
Harassment includes repeated unwanted contact, insults, personal attacks, discriminatory language, threats, intimidation, sexual harassment, doxxing, targeted ridicule or encouraging others to attack a person.
EFVD understands that live competition can be intense. Brief frustration is different from abuse, threats, repeated insults, public attacks or attempts to pressure staff. Context, severity and repetition are considered during review.
Retaliation against a driver, staff member, witness or reporter is not allowed. This includes harassment, exclusion, threats, public callouts or pressure after a report is submitted.
COC-05
Staff and Judge Interaction
Judges, technical inspectors, media staff and community staff are part of EFVD operations. Drivers must follow staff instructions during events even when they disagree.
| Allowed | Not allowed |
|---|---|
| Ask for clarification after the event. | Argue with judges during live flow. |
| Report a technical issue clearly. | Spam chat or voice during a decision. |
| Submit a private protest with evidence. | Publicly accuse staff of bias without evidence. |
| Ask staff where to submit files. | Insult technical staff for rejecting a car. |
| Report a possible conflict of interest privately. | Pressure staff through favoritism, gifts, threats or personal relationships. |
| Accept a call and move on. | Refuse to stage because of a decision. |
EFVD staff are also expected to protect the competition process. Staff should not argue publicly with drivers, leak judge discussion, make emotional calls, publish private reports or bypass the proper command chain during confusion.
| Staff standard | Meaning |
|---|---|
| No public arguing | Staff should move disputes into the correct private channel instead of debating in public comments, live chat or event channels. |
| No leaking judge discussion | Judge votes, review discussion, staff notes and private reports stay internal unless EFVD chooses to publish an official explanation. |
| No emotional calls | Staff decisions should be based on rules, evidence, event context and the correct authority chain. |
| Use the command chain | Judging confusion goes to the Head of Judges. Operational or disciplinary escalation goes to competition leadership. |
COC-06

Protect event value

COC-07
Event Day Conduct
Event-day conduct is about keeping live competition moving. Drivers should be available, calm and responsive.
| Area | Expected behavior |
|---|---|
| Briefing | Attend, listen, ask necessary questions only and follow event-specific instructions. |
| Spotters | Spotters may join briefing when allowed, but they do not join the competition server and cannot open protests for a driver. |
| Voice channels | Stay available if required, avoid shouting over staff and respect marshal instructions. |
| Spectators | Only approved spectators, media or staff may join event servers during official sessions. Drivers may open a Discord ticket to request special spectator access. |
| Staging | Be ready when called and do not disappear during active sessions. |
| Chat | Report issues clearly, avoid drama and keep event flow moving. |
| After a call | Accept the decision and use official channels later if clarification is needed. |
COC-08
Reporting and Evidence
Reports should be submitted through staff tickets or approved private channels. Public callouts usually create more drama and make fair review harder.
-
01
Submit privately
Use staff tickets or another approved private channel.
-
02
Identify people involved
Include driver names, staff names or account names where relevant.
-
03
Attach evidence
Include screenshots, links, replay files, timestamps and message context.
-
04
Explain briefly
Write a short explanation of what happened and what rule or concern is involved.
Do not delete, edit, hide or misrepresent replay files, screenshots, messages or server context used in a conduct or protest review. Deceptive evidence or false reports may result in disciplinary action.
| Integrity rule | Standard |
|---|---|
| Cooperate with review | Drivers may be asked to provide replays, screenshots, car files, setup proof, wheel proof, input proof, app configuration or clarification when staff reviews a serious issue. |
| No evidence laundering | Cropped clips, missing context, edited screenshots, deleted messages, selective posting or third-party reposting can be treated as misleading evidence. |
| Keep cheat reports private | Cheating or integrity concerns must be reported privately. Public accusations before or during review can create separate conduct action. |
| Temporary hold | EFVD may hold event participation, payout, points, license review or result finalization while a serious conduct, technical or cheating concern is reviewed. |
| No circumvention | Ban evasion, alternate accounts, submitting through another person, hiding identity or returning under a different account is not allowed. |
| Helper responsibility | Drivers can be held responsible if their spotter, teammate, media helper, invited spectator or community repeatedly disrupts the event or pressures staff on their behalf. |
COC-09
Disciplinary Process
EFVD uses progressive discipline where appropriate, but serious issues can skip lower steps.
| Level | Example | Possible action |
|---|---|---|
| Informal reminder | Minor confusion, poor wording or small procedural issue. | Staff reminder or clarification. |
| Warning | Repeated poor tone, ignoring instructions, late files or disruptive public complaints. | Written warning and staff note. |
| Probation | Repeated drama, disrespect, bad-faith tickets, no-shows or conduct issues. | Limited participation, monitored behavior or license review. |
| Suspension | Serious conduct issue or repeated warnings. | Temporary removal from events and roles. |
| Blacklist review | Harassment, retaliation, cheating, sponsor attacks, severe toxicity or repeated harmful behavior. | Participation refused indefinitely or until staff review. |
COC-10

Drivers can appeal
A driver may submit one clear private appeal through the announced process when they believe a disciplinary decision should be reviewed.
Use the correct channel
Appeals must be submitted privately through the announced process.
Not everything is public
EFVD does not have to disclose internal deliberation or private evidence.
Leadership decision
Final authority remains with EFVD leadership.
